Position Description

Provide administrative leadership for the Student Success Center.


Serve as advisor for freshman and sophomore majors in Agriculture and Human Ecology. Design and coordinate the advisement program. Engage faculty in collaborative recruitment and advising efforts. Serve as a liaison to the Admissions Office and TTU Student Success Center. Coordinate and manage the CAHE Freshman Orientation sessions. Oversee and guide the CAHE Student Ambassador program. Support and organize recruiting functions. Facilitate the distribution of promotional materials. Assist with admissions and registration procedures. Review and evaluate transcripts. Maintain statistical records and compile reports. Promote the CAHE through public presentations. Manage the Student Success Center resources. Submit external proposals for center related activities. Develop and manage a social media presence. Complete other duties as assigned. Serve on the CAHE leadership team. Report to the Dean of the College and to the Director of Advisement Services.

Commensurate with education and experience; Administrative Pay Grade AD46. Benefits include the accumulation of two vacation days per month and one sick leave day per month, and thirteen (13) University holidays. Other benefits include medical and life insurance (shared cost with the university), retirement, optional 401k, and educational benefits.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and two years of successful experience to include academic advisement, recruitment, retention and graduation, program development, and supervision. Demonstrated responsibility in budget management. Proficiency in the use of computers for spreadsheet, database, word processing applications, and student information systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, students, parents, and the public. Willingness and ability to maintain a flexible work schedule to meet student needs. Ability to organize and coordinate numerous programs and deadlines effectively. Ability to accurately represent all concentrations in the CAHE.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree from an accredited institution. Experience with website management and social media, online transcript evaluation and scheduling programs. Strong technical skills, specifically experience with Banner and DegreeWorks. Knowledge of policies and procedures regarding postsecondary academic regulations. Experience teaching courses at the community college level or higher.
