Position Description

This position plays a critical role in the University level strategic plan objective 3 Undergraduate Student Success. With approximately ¼ to 1/3 of the undergraduate student body being comprised of First Generation students, this position is critical in providing outreach and services to First Generation students. This position is the main leader and liaison for the First Generation Living Learning Program LLP (freshmen) and an academic advisor to these students before they arrive to campus and as they progress from the freshmen year. This position will serve not only as the only First Generation LLP administrator and academic advisor but will work with Robinson Scholars and other scholarship students who are required to enter the LLP. Services provided by this position are critical to aid in the retention and degree completion for First Generation students. This position works closely with all colleges, LLP programs, and UK recruiting, scholarships, and residence hall directors.
