Position Description

This is a Senior Academic Advisor position that will maintain an advising load and take a leadership role in the college's central advising for undergraduate students. Undergraduate advising is part of the learning mission of the University. Advisors present the curriculum required for each part of a degree and assist students in integrating the degree requirements as one part of a student's overall career plan. This position provides firm information about degree programs within the College and appropriate referrals to equip first-year, transfer, or exploratory students to make more informed decisions as they move through each year of study. Undergraduate advising is one key component within our collaborative and vast amount of resources all working towards student success including learning, retention, and graduation. Leadership responsibilities include coordination and planning of advising and student services as well as professional development.
