Position Description

Serves as the Associate Coordinator for Lower Division Advising for the rapidly growing undergraduate program in the School of Computing. Works closely with the Undergraduate Program Coordinator to develop programs and strategies to recruit, retain, and promote students in the School.


40% - Essential - Registration and Advising
As Associate Coordinator. serves as lead for advising and counseling of lower division students in the School of Computing. Analyzes student records in preparation for appointments. Co-organizes the School of Computing's orientation programs for new students (summer, fall, spring).

20% - Essential - Student Services
Develop and manage additional activities supporting the undergraduate student services program for the School of Computing including, but not limited to, academics, registration, study abroad, career services, and School student organizations. Collaborates with other offices, colleges, and organizations across campus that serve students.

15% - Essential - Recruitment and Promotion
Works on assigned projects such as social media campaigns or undergraduate program Web pages. Assists in organizing development opportunities, workshops, and programs for students.

15% - Essential - Assessment & Data Management . .
Collects data pertaining to student performance for assessment purposes and works with the School's assessment committee to analyze data an produce reports.

10% - Essential - Professional Development: Including, but not limited to, engaging in professional development activities.
