We have a great spring conference coming up on February 19 at Oklahoma City University.  Our theme will be Career Advising: Connecting Classes to Careers.  Dr. Ken Hughey, a leading career advising researcher, will be our keynote speaker.

This conference will also feature a round robin event where representatives from professional programs (medical programs, pharmacy programs, nursing programs, physical therapy programs, law programs, etc.) will be on hand to discuss admissions issues and provide insight on information that advisors can disseminate to prospective students.

Oklahoma City has also been selected to host the NACADA Region Seven Conference in 2011. In addition to our OACADA Membership, this event will also attract NACADA Members from Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, and Texas. We are very excited to have this opportunity and we are currently in the preliminary stages of planning this event, so stay tuned for more details.
