The 2008 PA State Drive-in conference was held on November 7 th at Lehigh Carbon Community College . With approximately 120 attendees, it was a very successful event. Special highlights included:

• Two guest speakers from the NACADA Board of Directors, Dr. Jayne Drake and Dr. Rich Robbins
• A well-received theme, “Renew, Recharge, Revive: De-stressing and Refreshing Skills for Enhanced Advising,” with a lunchtime presentation regarding stress
• An underlying “green theme,” with attention paid to reducing environmental impact of the conference
• It is anticipated that the most recent drive-in conference earned a profit, strengthening the PA state budget (which remains “in the black”).
• Rich Robbins volunteered Bucknell University to host a State Drive-In in the future.
• My term is ending, and the Eastern PA State Liaison position will become available April 2009.
