2012 HOTEL & CITY INFORMATION

Remember:   Sunday preconferences and the opening reception will be held at the Sofitel Hotel. 

Meetings on Monday and Tuesday will be held at the Modesto Maideras

There will be a conference shuttle from both hotels to the Modesto Maidique Campus on Monday and Tuesday, but if you plan on sightseeing while in Miami (the beaches will be spectacular this time of year) you'll want to rent a car. Miami Airport has a brand new car rental center. The hotel is only minutes away as is the campus (and the beaches) :)

You do not need to make any payments for the rooms, but you need to provide a credit card to have them hold it for you so that you can get the reduced rate (Cancellation policy for individuals is 48 hours prior to arrival date).  Make your reservations now as our block may fill before February 22 the cut off date for the $119 rate.  The hotels in Miami during this time of year will be in the mid $200s (it’s our peak season).  NOTE:  The Comfort Suites does not provide a shuttle to/from the airport.

Room Rates: Single/Double: $139.00 per night (This rate is available from March 8th - March 16th)
To receive the early NACADA rate, reserve your room by Thursday, February 9, 2012! The block reserved by NACADA may fill well before the cutoff date, so reserve early!! Don't forget to ask for the FIU National Academic Advising Regional Conference Rate, or the NACADA rate to receive the rates above!!

***Room reservation information may be requested from the hotel during the last 4 weeks prior to the conference by the NACADA Executive Office in order to check on status of room block. Please e-mail Diane Matteson at matteson@ksu.edu if you request to have the hotel withhold your information.
