Airports

Akron-Canton Airport (CAK) is the closest, most convenient way to travel to the conference. Delta, US Air, Air Tran, United, and Frontier are among the carriers that serve CAK.

Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport (CLE) is the next closest option. It is about 40 miles north of Akron. Both 71S and the turnpike (I-80) can be easily accessed from the airport.

Airline Shuttle Service to Hotels

This company is located inside of CAK (Suite 8), but will serve both Akron and Cleveland Airports.  Individuals and groups are encouraged to make reservations via phone, fax (330-494-5894), or online. Shuttle One service is available from 8:00am to 8:00pm everyday. If a reservation is not made they do offer a walk up service.

 

Cost from Akron-Canton Airport: $49.00 for single passenger, plus five dollars a piece for passengers 2 and 3. For 4 or more passengers the cost is $15.00 a person. Sales tax is included; gratuity is not required, but encouraged.

 

Cost from Cleveland Airport: $85.00 for single passenger. 4 or more people will get a group rate of $30.00 a person.

 

If using Shuttle One service let them know you are with the NACADA conference. They will assist with arranging groups of people to make travel cheaper whenever they can. If reservations are made by April 1st they can make these arrangements.

Another shuttle option from Cleveland is A-1 Airport Shuttle. They require a reservation to be made by phone or online. The cost is $65.00 for up to 4 people.

Car Rental

Cleveland-Hopkins Airport: Car rental facilities from CLE are not located within the airport, but there is an airport shuttle to take you to each facility. Visit  http://www.clevelandairport.com/Transportation/Rental-Cars.aspx to get a list of these facilities.

Taxis

Akron-Canton Airport: Visit  http://www.akroncantonairport.com/ground-transportation/taxi  for a list of taxi services. An average amount will be about $40.00 to $50.00 for up to four passengers. For 5, 6, or 7 passengers it will be $80.00 or more. They do require a reservation to be made for groups one day in advance.
