2010 TRAVEL INFORMATION

The Region 5 conference will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and Conference Centre, 5685 Falls Avenue , Niagara Falls , ON L2E 6W7 ?.

Flight Information:

Flights can be booked to either Toronto or Buffalo (both are approximately the same distance from the conference centre). 

Airport Shuttle Information: Shuttles run directly to the hotel and can be booked from either airport through Niagara Airbus (www.niagaraairbus.com/).   A special conference 20% discount for airport shuttles can be obtained by booking online using conference code 462 (see instructions).  This special rate is available for travel to either airport from April 7-22, 2010 to allow for those of you who plan an extended stay.  Note that shuttle fees are lower for those who travel in groups.  Thanks to Niagara Airbus for making these arrangements for our Region 5 conference!

Driving Directions:

From the Buffalo Area:

If crossing at the Peace Bridge , take the QEW to Highway 420 East. The highway becomes Roberts Street about two miles down the road. Stay on Roberts Street to go onto Falls Avenue. Turn Left on Clifton Hill, Left on River Road , Left on Hiram Street , and Left on Falls Avenue (essentially around the block – a maneuver that is required due to the road flow restrictions caused by the bridge traffic).

If crossing at the Rainbow Bridge , from Buffalo , follow the I-190 to the Robert Moses Parkway . Take the Robert Moses Parkway North until it becomes John B Daly Blvd. Turn left on Niagara Street . Niagara Street becomes Rainbow Bridge . After crossing, turn slight right onto Falls Avenue.

From Michigan ( Port Huron crossing):

Take the Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron , crossing onto Highway 402 in Sarnia . Follow Highway 402 and merge onto Highway 401 eastbound. In Woodstock , merge onto Highway 403 eastbound towards Hamilton . In Hamilton , merge onto QEW Niagara bound. Take the QEW to Highway 420 East. From Michigan ( Detroit crossing):

Cross the bridge at Detroit/Windsor and merge onto Highway 401 eastbound. In Woodstock , merge onto Highway 403 eastbound towards Hamilton . In Hamilton , merge onto QEW Niagara bound.
