Big Thanks to Debra Dotterer & Jennifer McCaul for spearheading
a freat committee and a very successful conference in Grand Rapids
this year! Over 375 participants came away with many ideas
foe increasing the effectiveness of advising and a renewed enthusiasm

to Best of Region winners Karen Reynolds from Michigan State University.
The concurrent session "Students At Risk or On Probation:
Success/Retention Initiatives with Impact" was voted Best of
Region 5. Karen will represent Region 1 at the NACADA National Conference
in Chicago on October 2 at 11:30 - 12:30 in Room Regency D, West
Tower, Gold Level.
