Tribal
College & Aboriginal [First Nation,
Metis
Nation, and Inuit] Advisor Grant
You
may be eligible for one of two grants we are able to offer through
the NACADA North Central Region 6 Steering Committee. The grant
will cover the entire registration fee for the regional conference
and provide a one-year NACADA membership. To be eligible, you must
be a Tribal College advisor or have as your primary work assignment,
responsibility for advising Aboriginal [First Nation, Metis Nation,
and Inuit] students in Region 6, which includes: the Northwest Territories
(Canada), Manitoba (Canada), Saskatchewan (Canada), North Dakota
(US), South Dakota (US), Nebraska (US), Iowa (US), and Minnesota
(US).
Awards
Available (2):
Full
payment of conference registration fee and a one-year membership
to NACADA. Preference will be given to non-NACADA members as part
of an effort to grow membership in the region, but all interested
Tribal College advisors or advisors who work primarily with Aboriginal
[First Nation, Metis Nation, and Inuit] students are encouraged
to apply. Applicants who are awarded the grant, and who are already
NACADA members will have their registration covered for the regional
conference in Iowa City . Award committee members reserve the right
to act in the best interest of the Region and its membership when
making final decisions.

programming for your office or campus based on your conference experiences.

Graduate
Student Scholarship
You
may be eligible for one of two student scholarships we
are able to offer through NACADA North Central Region
6 Steering Committee. The scholarship will cover the registration
fee for the regional conference and provide a one-year
NACADA student membership. To be eligible, you must be
currently enrolled full-time in a graduate program
in Region 6 , which includes: the Northwest Territories
(Canada), Manitoba (Canada), Saskatchewan (Canada), North
Dakota (US), South Dakota (US), Nebraska (US), Iowa (US),
and Minnesota (US), and must be one
of the following:
Working
in a position which includes academic advising or student
services/student personnel at a college or university,
OR
Pursuing
a graduate degree in Academic Advising, Counseling, Student
Personnel, or a related academic area.
Awards

fee level and a one-year student membership to NACADA.
Preference will be given to non-NACADA members as part

If you are not a NACADA member, you are a full-time graduate student
and you are not working full time in an advising position - the
award will consist of full payment of the conference registration
fee at the student level and a one-year student membership to
NACADA.
If you are already a NACADA member and are a full-time
graduate student and - only the Iowa Region 6 conference registration
fee will be awarded
If you are working full time in an advising position
- only the Iowa Region 6 conference registration fee will be awarded.
You will be responsible for the regular membership fee of $55
and do not qualify for student membership.
Award
committee members reserve the right to act in the best
interest of the Region and its membership when making
final decisions.
