2009 CALL FOR PROPOSALS

The call for proposals is now complete.   Presenters have been notified of their acceptance and it looks like it will be  a GREAT program. 

The Theme for this year's conference is : Lagniappe; "A Little Something Extra " to Spice Up Your Advising Menu.

Please submit proposals that represent advising at its best.  Presentations shoulf be submitted from the following categories:

  • Specific Disciplines
  • Student Services and Special Interests
  • New Programs
  • Advising Research.

Special Attention will be given to those presentations that are especially student/advising friendly.

Content Sessions Focus: Creating an Advising Experience

In addition to the general theme, you may wish to consider that additional focus within the content sessions might be “creating the successful advising experience.”

 

The 2009 conference will offer six concurrent sessions (with up to 7choices at each time). Presenters will have the option of choosing between 60 or 75 minute sessions.

 

 


Best of Region Presentation Award

Selection/Eligibility:
Winners must be current members of NACADA, registered for the regional conference, and they must register for the national conference.  Final selection of the winner(s) will be made by the Region Conference Committee.


Financial Support:     The Best of Region Conference Presentation Winner(s) will:

•  Be offered a time to present this session at the Annual Conference in October of this year.
•  Receive $590 to be applied first toward the NACADA Annual Conference Registration Fee and secondly toward travel or lodging expenses ( not including membership and/or workshop fees).  
•  If there is more than one presenter, the financial support would be divided among the presenters.
•  The financial support is non-transferable and non-refundable.

 

NACADA does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability or marital status. NACADA cannot be responsible for any expenses incurred by the participants (other than registration fees) in the case of a cancellation of this conference.
