THE NETWORK FOR ACADEMIC ADVISING IN HIGHER EDUCATION
GLAASS -L (formerly ACADV) 

GLAASS-L is a list for academic advisors in higher education. The list provides a forum for discussions and announcements for professional advisors (those employed in the field of academic advising) and for faculty members who have academic advising responsibilities.

Please note that unlike when the list was hosted elsewhere as ACADV, the list is public and there is no longer any restriction of membership to only those who are actively filling advising roles.

How To Subscribe

To join the GLAASS-L e-mail list, simply follow these directions:

  1. From the e-mail account under which you wish to be subscribed, send an e-mail message to: LISTSERV@LISTSERV.KSU.EDU
  2. Type as the SOLE contents of the body of the message:
    • SUB GLAASS-L Your first and last name
    • EX: SUB GLAASS-L Thomas Thompson
  3. Delete any automatic signatures and send the message.
  4. You will receive an automatic confirmation of your subscription and instructions on the use of the e-mail list.

How To Post a Message

Send an email to the following address: GLAASS-L@LISTSERV.KSU.EDU (you must be a member of the list).

Note: KSU listserv lists are no longer accepting file attachments. You now have a couple of options:

  1. Cut and paste the information from the attachment into the actual e-mail.
  2. Send the e-mail with attachments to everyone by typing in their individual e-mail addresses rather than to the list.
How To Unsubscribe

To leave the GLAASS-L e-mail list, simply follow these directions:

  1. From the e-mail account under which you subscribed, send an e-mail message to: LISTSERV@LISTSERV.KSU.EDU
  2. Type as the SOLE contents of the body of the message:
    • SIGNOFF GLAASS-L
    • EX: SIGNOFF GLAASS-L
  3. Delete any automatic signatures and send the message.
  4. You will receive an automatic confirmation of your unsubscription.
