• In a 2012 survey, average salaries for full-time academic advisors were reported on national basis on a College University Professional Association for Human Resources survey. Statistics from this survey can be found in the March 26, 2012 edition of The Chronicle.  Note: You may need your institution's Chronicle user name and password to access this article.  The median advisor salary in this survey was $40,963 (a $441 increase from 2011).

Statistics from this survey can be found in the February 27, 2012 edition of The Chronicle. Note: You will need your institution's Chronicle user name and password to access this article. The average 2012 salary listed for the Director of Academic Advising was $64,253 (a $1200 increase from 2011). 

This average salary fits within the range determined by the results of the September 2008 Career Ladder Survey sponsored by the NACADA Professional Development Committee and the Advising Administration Commission. Salary ranges of 907 administrators was gathered. The median salary range reported by these advising administrators was $60,000 - $64,999.
