Professional Development and Recognition
Advising Business Majors Recognition Program — All Advising Business Majors Commission members will have the opportunity to be recognized at Annual NACADA Conferences for the extra effort/education put forward each year toward advising excellence for our students. To qualify for the recognition – commission members must fulfill three of the personal development options below:
- Presentation at NACADA event

- Auditing a business foundation course
|
- Attendance at NACADA sponsored event
|
- Attendance at University Career Fair
|
- Publication in the NACADA Journal
|
- New program and assessment
|
- Participation in NACADA leadership role
|
- Student organization advisor
|
- Participation in Advising Business Majors Commission
|
- Instructor/Presenter, Introductory Business Course
|
Please e-mail the Commission Chair, Teresa D’Urso, at tdurso@illinois.edu if you qualify for the certificate. Deadline to submit nomination is July 31st.
