Dear
Commission Members:
Greetings
all! Hope you are having a great start to your Spring semesters.
Here are a few upcoming deadlines you may want to note:
First:
Make sure you get your proposals
in for the National Conference by NEXT TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 8!
If you are considering submitting for a PRE-CONFERENCE workshop,
make sure that you list it as your FIRST CHOICE format. Otherwise,
it will not go to the correct review committee. To submit a proposal,
visit www.nacada.ksu.edu/NationalConf/2005/index.htm
on the NACADA web site. An online tutorial is available to help
guide you through the proposal submission process.
Second:
MARCH 7 is our next deadline for
nominations for the new Advising Technology Innovation Awards.
Information on the Innovation Awards can be found on the NACADA
web site at www.nacada.ksu.edu/Awards/E_Publication.htm.
Third:
APRIL 1st is the deadline for nominations
for the "Service to Commission Award" for the
Technology in Advising Commission. This award provides commissions
with a special opportunity for recognizing deserving NACADA commission
members who have significantly contributed to a particular commission's
overall goals and objectives through their service and activities.
Our commission is currently seeking nominations for this award and
is one of twelve commissions presenting this award this year.
Information
on the procedures for this award, including purpose, criteria, eligibility,
submission guidelines, and a nomination form can be found at www.nacada.ksu.edu/Awards/CService.htm
on the NACADA web site. Complete nomination
information must be e-mailed to the NACADA Executive Office no later
than FRIDAY, APRIL 1, 2005. If you have any questions
about the nomination form or information to be included in the support
materials, please contact Mike Leonard,
Chair of our Commission's award selection committee, at mjl3@psu.edu,
or me at andrea_irby@ncsu.edu.
Thank
you for your interest in this special commission service award opportunity
and in the Advising Technology Innovation Awards.
Sincerely,
Andrea
Irby
