Hello
all:
Hope
the weather is good where you are. We just dug ourselves out of
snow and ice here in North Carolina (where the winters are supposed
to be mild)! I wanted to pass along a few upcoming deadlines as
reminders so that you don't miss out on several key NACADA opportunities.
1)
The Call for Proposals deadline for the 2004 National Conference
in Cincinnati is February 9th. At the time I last checked
the website, ONLY 11 days, 7 hours, 3 minutes, and 4 seconds remained
to submit a proposal!!
If
you have a project or presentation that is Technology-related and
want to share with others, please submit a proposal. Also, many
of you gave terrific presentations last year that may warrant being
heard again. If you had great feedback to your presentation and/or
it was at a time when many could not see it (perhaps on the last
day) consider submitting your presentation again. You can update
it to include any new research or experiences from this year.
Here
is the link where you can submit your proposal. http://www.nacada.ksu.edu/NationalConf/2004/index.htm
2)
Electronic Publication Awards and the Service
to Commission Award nominations are due March 8, 2004.
As it takes some time to pull the nominations together, I want to
start reminding you now. Electronic Publication Awards are to recognize
"the highest quality online advising materials currently in
use by NACADA members". Please review the nomination website
below for guidelines and submission links.

The
Service to Commission award is for a super person who has given
much to NACADA and who has provided outstanding service, leadership,
and commitment to the Commission. A recognition plaque will be presented
at the commission's annual meeting held during the NACADA National
Conference. Help us recognize the great people that are involved
with the Technology Commission by nominating them!
Here's
the link, you know what to do!

All
for now. If you have any questions about these activities, please
feel free to e-mail me. It would be a refreshing change from all
the SPAM I've been getting lately!
Sincerely,
Andrea
