Dear Colleagues:

A few weeks ago you an e-mail was sent in which I announced that I am planning to leave my role as Chair of the Distance Education Advising Interest Group and turn it over to new leadership at the conclusion of the national conference in Cincinnati in October. Thus, I am currently in the process of recruiting my replacement as Chair.

If you have the desire to become more actively involved in NACADA, this is a great way to begin. If you are interested in taking on this role as Chair, I would be very interested in discussing this position with you. More information on this Chair role and the Division is on the NACADA web site at www.nacada.ksu.edu/CandIGDivision/cigdivinfo.htm.

The work of the Interest Group Chair involves providing leadership for our annual meeting at the national conference and for the future direction the members want to take in terms of activities and resources. The Chair is also responsible for setting up a table during the Commission and Interest Group Fair at the national conference, as well as overseeing the interest group web pages located at www.nacada.ksu.edu/InterestGroups/C23/index.htm on NACADA's web site. The Chair (or a designated interest group member) provides updates as needed to the Executive Office staff who implement the changes.
