My qualifications, goals, and strategies for this position is that I am a motivated, goal oriented team player, who communicates effectively on a one to one or group situation. Decision-making and problem solving capabilities are my strong point. Furthermore, I possess a broad range of business knowledge coupled with relevant educational experience, and strong administrative skills. My professional contribution to the University of Nevada Las Vegas and NACADA is to commit my integrity, time, and experience to enable advisors with the vast breath of knowledge, research, and training NACADA offers.

  • What do you believe are the most important goals and initiatives for this unit in meeting the strategic plan for both the unit and the Association?

I would like to work closely with our Vice President of Provost, the Executive Director of Advising, and UNLV Advising Council to streamline the advising, and academic paperwork process. Furthermore, I would like to incorporate, and utilize technology in the advising process.

  • Why are you interested in serving in this leadership position or what influenced you to run for this leadership position?

I am impressed with the information and training NACADA offers to Advisors. I would like to make sure this valuable knowledge is conveyed to UNLV Advisors.

  • Provide any additional comments or information (either personal or leadership-related) that you want potential voters to know about you that is not covered elsewhere in your platform information.

I am a person who strongly feels whatever job I perform or volunteer for that I put forth my best effort. I enjoy reading the Bible especially, traveling, dancing, and listening to jazz.
