Are you interested in becoming involved in NACADA's exciting Emerging Leaders Program? Applications for the 2009-2011 Class for both Leaders and Mentors must be submitted by April 1.

Congratulations to the newly elected members of the NACADA Leadership! The term of office for these individuals will begin at the conclusion of the Annual Conference in San Antonio this fall.

Awards Nominations Due March 2

Remember to submit your nomination materials for the 2009 NACADA Annual Awards Advising Program! Participation in the awards program is a great way to enhance the visibility of advising on your campus. All nomination information and forms can be accessed on the Awards Program website.

• Apply for a NACADA research grant for up to $5,000 by March 15.
• Submit a Wesley R. Habley Summer Institute Scholarship application for either of the 2009 Summer Institutes.
• The NACADA Academic Advising Consultants and Speaker Service is recruiting keynote speakers, workshop presenters and evaluators interested in visiting campuses on behalf of NACADA.
• NACADA/Kansas State University online Master in Academic Advising degree.
• Official Interest Group status has been awarded to the Doctoral Students group. Serving as Co-Chairs are Jared Tuberty, Frank Santiago and Jane Teel.
• Two new Potential Interest Groups have been formed: Advising Second-Year Students - Laura Avila and Leah Panganiban, Co-Chairs, and Advising at Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs) - Joyce Ellenwood, Chair. Advising in Interdisciplinary Programs - Steve Pajewski, Chair, will continue as a Potential Interest Group.
