Below is a link to the application for a NACADA Scholarship. To complete your application, you must submit all of the following by the established deadline:

  1. NACADA Scholarship Application Form, including Career Goals Statement and financial assessment
  2. Official transcripts from all institutions of Higher Education that you have attended. (Photocopies of an official transcript are acceptable.)
  3. Resume/Vita.  Please limit entries to material which pertains directly to academic advising, presenting relevant information from the nominee's overall resume/vita.
  4. Evaluation/Recommendation by Faculty Form — sent directly to NACADA by faculty
  5. Evaluation by Employer Form — sent directly to NACADA by employer
* No binders, please.
* All materials must be collated.
* Sections may be divided by a title page (colored paper may be used for this purpose, if desired), and the entire packet should be stapled together.

* Packets that do not include all required materials will not be considered.

*Nomination packets must include only original documentation prepared specifically for the NACADA Awards Program. Materials intended for other award programs will not be considered.

Submission Procedures:

Four (4) complete sets of all NACADA Scholarship application materials must be received by Monday, March 1, 2010. The NACADA Executive Office will duplicate the employer and faculty evaluation forms. The most important components of your application are your career goal statement, the two evaluation forms, and your past involvement in NACADA and other professional organizations.

Ask for your recommendation from your faculty member and employer as soon as possible. You may want to give them a pre-addressed envelope for their convenience. They may fax their form to meet the deadline, but the original must also be mailed.

NOTE: It is recommended that application materials be sent by a shipping service for which delivery can be tracked. NACADA always sends an e-mail confirmation to the applicant upon receipt of each submission.   Contact NACADA at nacada@ksu.edu if you do not receive an e-mail confirming receipt of your application materials within a couple of days after you have tracked and confirmed delivery online.

Scholarship winners are notified by late spring, and awards are presented at the National Conference in the fall. If you have questions, please contact the NACADA Executive Office. On behalf of the National Academic Advising Association, we look forward to reviewing your application for a Scholarship Award.
