AC Division Timeline

This timeline contains deadlines, mailings and other items of specific interest to Community Chairs. Dates for other NACADA and/or leadership activities are also listed for general information.








  • 1st: Start drafting your Annual Report now - submit in advance if your will be busy over the summer months.
  • 1st Send congratulatory email to any award winners in your group
  • 15th: Article submission for the Sept. issue of Academic Advising Today are due to Leigh Cunningham


  • Work with your Steering Committee to start drafting the update your Annual Report due August 15
  • 15th: - Information about your group's social events during annual conference are due to Dawn Krause


  • Start preparing for ACD Fair for annual conference: Who will staff the booth? What will be the theme? What supplies are needed? Save receipts. 
  • Start preparing for your Business Meeting at Annual Conference
  • 15th: Annual Report due to ACD Reps and Dawn Krause. Required for Commission; Highly recommended for Interest Groups.  In 2018-19, required for all Communities.
  • 15th: Confirm with Dawn Krause that you will attend the ACD meeting at Annual Conference; If it is not possible for you to attend, report who will facilitate the business meeting in your absence and staff the table at the ACD Fair.


  • 1st: Article submission for the March issue of Academic Advising Today are due to Leigh Cunningham
  • Emails to your member lists (not your listserv) for Annual Conference are due at the end of September.  Email drafts go to Dawn Krause for posting.
