Position Description
This position will provide high quality, pro-active advising support to online students and student's who's support system primarily speak Spanish. Furthermore, this position will provide intrusive advising and support to students who are in the Nepantla Program. Lastly this position will also meet with students who are in academic distress or withdrawal status and create plans to assist them, as well as provide general advising support. This role will be required to manage advising data for future reporting. This position will work in the Academic Advising Center, who as a team will support Complete College America goals, develop campus partnerships, and serve as a liaison to NSC departments and schools. This position should have an entrepreneurial spirit-collaborating on ideas and systems to improve advising methods as the College grows. This position will also a collaborative team member helping to develop and deliver advising materials and workshops to students. Provide academic advising to students who are primarily in online courses. Provide daily coordination of academic advising tasks that support and assist students who are in online courses. Support Nepantala program through academic support initiatives (1:1 appointments, workshops, newsletters, peer advising sessions). Outreach, connect and assist students who take online courses. Create online materials and tools for students to use to assist them with transition, retention and graduation.Identify options for students to satisfy degree requirements and recommend a program of study to assist in completion. Act as a liaison to campus departments and give students resources to complete procedures on campus such as: academic petitions, financial aid applications, registration, withdrawal, major change, and student information updates. Maintain all advising data and provide reports to the Director of Student Academic Support Services and/or Provost as required. All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
1-3 years of experience in advising, counseling, higher education or related field
Conversational skills in Spanish
