Position Description

The Academic Advisor within the School of Community Health Sciences advises prospective, new, continuing, and transfer undergraduate students in health science majors and minors with general academic and specific curricular requirements. The Academic Advisor assists with on- and off-campus advising, retention and recruitment activities as well as assistance with tracking and reporting activities of the Advisor and the Center.This position will require occasional travel and working a variable schedule.


  • Advises prospective, new, continuing and transfer students in health science majors and minors.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and two years of related work experience or Master’s Degree and one year of related work experience.
  • Direct student contact, communication, knowledge of academic requirements and higher education policies and procedures;
  • experience in a field related to academic advising or student services.
