Position Description



  • Serves as an advisor to the Industrial Engineering graduate students concerning academic goals, requirements, and program progress.
  • Assists the department head, Graduate Program Director, and other departmental faculty with academic processes and special reports.
  • Manages the prospective graduate student admissions process.
  • Advises distance educations students concerning curriculum and degree requirements.
  • Assists graduate faculty with documentation concerning new course development.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of related experience in advising and recruiting.
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications
  • Knowledge of student information systems, degree planning, and degree audits.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Ability to present information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent written communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
