Position Description
The Academic Advisor within the Department of Advising, Recruitment, and Retention (DARR) in the Division of Health Sciences (DHS) advises prospective, new, continuing, and transfer undergraduate students in DHS majors and minors with general academic and specific curricular requirements. The Academic Advisor assists with on- and off-campus advising, retention and recruitment activities as well as assistance with tracking and reporting activities of the Advisor and the Center.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and two years of relevant work experience or Master’s Degree and one year of relevant work experience.Relevant Experience: Direct student contact, communication, knowledge of academic requirements and higher education policies and procedures; experience in a field related to academic advising or student servicesThis position will require occasional travel and working a variable schedule.
