Serve as adviser to undergraduate students regarding transferable credits from previous schools, degree requirements, selection of major field of interest, scholastic and probation problems, and general information about all areas of the University
Evaluate degree programs and check progress against student records. Notify students of deficiencies; discuss scholastic problems with students and advise of necessary remedial action. Obtain list of graduation seniors and verify degree qualifications. Maintain student record files for department.
Coordinate and implement preregistration and registration activities. Consult with supervisor on issues concerning undergraduate course offerings each semester. Coordinate and implement Summer Welcome Registration.
Publicize new departmental policies concerning curriculum and graduation requirements.
Counsel students concerning graduate school preparation and selection . Help to organize workshop for students preparing for graduate school.
Serve on appropriate committees (i.e. Curriculum Committee), represent department at campus-wide Adviser's Forum meetings.
