Position Description
Under the supervision of the Director of President's Scholars and Future Scholars, the Coordinator for Scholars and Scholarships is responsible for providing visionary leadership and managing scholarship programs that reside in the Center to deliver student support and developmental services to all students. The Coordinator provides strategic planning and leadership to fulfill the goals of the Center , as well as create innovative programming and resources that bolster curricular and co-curricular success. Responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the Center for Scholars and Scholarships. Provides assistance in advising, retention, outreach, assessment, program coordination and development, and promoting the Titan experience. Assists the Center team with presentations at new student orientation, high school and community college outreach events and other campus programs. This dynamic leader works collaboratively with academic advisement, colleges and University partners to improve outcomes related to the recruitment, development, enrichment, inclusion, retention and student experience for our scholarship students. The Coordinator will focus specifically on the following areas; provides leadership in coordinating immediate and effective academic interventions to students who are placed on probation; provides monthly progress reports to the Director which identifies student academic status and college compliance utilizing all advisement related University Policy Statements; collaborative activities that promotes retention, persistence and student success for first generation and underrepresented students; develop and implement assessment processes that incorporate student learning outcomes and co-curricular High Impact Practices; and duties as assigned to meet the strategic goals of the Student Retention Cluster.Under the supervision of the Director of President's Scholars and Future Scholars, the Coordinator for Scholars and Scholarships is responsible for providing visionary leadership and managing scholarship programs that reside in the Center to deliver student support and developmental services to all students. Duties
Scholarship Coordination:
-Promotes scholarship opportunities to a variety of constituencies.
-Coordinates the selection and recruitment process for scholarship programs.
-Serves as the campus liaison for community based scholarships in coordinating organization of scholarship on campus.
-Provides individual counseling to scholarship recipients and monitors academic progress.
-Coordinates academic success workshop, networking events, and mentoring program for scholarship recipients.
-Provides updates to scholarship donors.
-Coordinates regular assessment and evaluation of scholarship programs.

Program Coordination:
-Develops, innovate and provide vision for scholarship program policies, procedures, and operations to ensure student engagement and success.
-Measures student engagement, satisfaction and retention through current assessment tools and resources of all scholarship program students.
-Develops marketing literature to promote awareness of scholarship opportunities for students.
-Provides leadership, supervision and vision for the unit.
-Plans, evaluates, and sets yearly goals for the scholarship area.
-Collaborates with faculty and staff in order to promote scholarship and to assist students with their success on campus.
-Develops and conducts presentations as needed.
-Develops and maintains strong community relations with donors and potential donors and student.
-Provides projections and comprehensive reports as needed.
-Independently determine approaches and techniques to utilize in advisement situations, and within established parameters, independently determine campus services and other resources to be provided individuals or groups of students; and recommend changes on varied matters both within and outside the area of specific assignment.

Advisement:
-Provides comprehensive student counseling, coaching and other retention services on an individual and group basis to scholarship program students.
- Conducts one on one advisement sessions, concerning academic learning, campus life, problem solving and academic progress.
-Develops, implements, and assesses policies, activities and program leading to the retention of scholarship program students.
- Advocates for scholarship program students via committees.
-Assist with presentations at New Student Orientations and other campus programs that involve the expertise of the Future Scholars program.
-Assists in the development of advisement materials.
