Position Description

The person in this position coordinates projects, programs, and activities and provides services and/or advisement (one or more of the essential functions listed below) for potential and/or current students in the Auburn Online Programs.

Duties

  • Assists and advises students with academic related issues such as (but not limited to) University or college/school policies and procedures, course selection, supplemental instruction, registration, graduation application, financial aid, scholarship opportunities/processes, certification programs, assistantships, internships, and/or job skill development.
  • Reviews and maintains student records such as coordinating input, evaluating transcripts, applications for admission job placement activities, and/or generating reports.
  • Evaluate transfer credits from other accredited institutions of higher education to determine applicability to Auburn University's general core and Auburn Online's requirements.
  • Identify additional online courses needed to meet coursework requirements for the Auburn Online programs.
  • Serves as a resource and liaison for Auburn Online Program, Office of the Registrar, Academic Affairs, College of Engineering, Nursing and Business and collaborate within the University in order to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is provided to prospective students.
  • May develop orientation materials, handouts, and/or updates for students or prospective students.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • Entry into applicant pool requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Education, Marketing, Business, Communications or related field.
