Responsibilities: Aside from managing the Tutoring and Learning Center, the Coordinator of Tutoring Services/Instructor teaches student success-oriented workshops or university courses, including First Year Seminar, as appropriate based on credentials. Typical teaching load is two courses per semester, or four courses per academic year. As a key member of the Office of Retention & Academic Advising, serves as a retention agent in all interactions with students in coordination with other Morehead State University staff or faculty.

Master’s degree in higher education, teaching, counseling/psychology, or related field and at least one year of experience working in higher education. Demonstrated knowledge of issues concerning retention and student success are essential. Excellent oral, written, and organizational skills are necessary.
Teaching experience is preferred. Previous experience working with educationally at-risk students is desirable. Proficiency with Excel. Prior tutoring and/or experience working in or administering a learning center or study skills lab preferred.
