Position Description

Plans and implements professional duties related to all degree programs in Industrial Engineering, initiates and maintains academic records of students.  Assists and advises all current students.


50% - Essential - Advising: 
Assists in developing and implementing student services programs under the direction of the Student Services Manager. Serves as the current IE undergraduate and graduate students' point of contact. Advises students in academics, registration, financial aid, admissions and accessing University resources under direction of the Student Services Manager. Verifies undergraduate course curriculum plans, checking them for accuracy with respect to prerequisites and completeness. Processes all student forms for new and change of major students. Assists with transfer credit and course substitution approval.

25% - Essential - Record-keeping and Reporting: 
Maintain and access confidential student academic records, files, and forms, including certificate application forms. Monitors assessment reporting and prepares requested reports for the Industrial Engineering faculty and Department Chair. Maintain student data as required by the undergraduate and graduate committees, using resources including shared drives and Learning Management Systems.

25% - Essential - Registration Coordination and Room Coordination:
Manages scheduling of classes, labs, and room assignments, along with room reservations for student committee meetings such as thesis and proposal defenses. Add registration information to Clemson's course management software.  Implement room attributes to ensure suitable classrooms for individual courses within the department.  Resolves registration-related requests for students.
